Hi there! I'm guessing you're here because you want to know a little more about us and Australian Shopping Online! Here it goes, our names are Gavin and Maretta, we live in Perth, and we're proud parents. We're also avid online shoppers (because we hate the crowds and shopping with kids). Shopping online not only saves you time and money, but you can shop around for the best price, shop whenever you want and you dont have to drive anywhere (you can even shop in your pjs)!

We created Australian Shopping Online because we wanted a safe and enjoyable way to shop from quality businesses all around Australia. We designed this website so it's simple for anyone to use, easy to navigate and find what you want, and somewhere where shoppers can customise their own list of favourite shops. Most of all we wanted somewhere where users are able to give their own opinions and rate shops from their own shopping experiences.

How do I find what I'm looking for?

You can use the search box to the right, browse through the site with the secondary links on  the left or the primary links across the top, easy!

When you click on a shop they open in a new tab or window depending on your internet browser, and you can buy anything as usual. Each shop is an individual entity with their own shopping cart, shipping details and payment options.

How do I create my own list of favourite shops?

Once Registered and signed in browse through the categories and add your favourite shops to your list by clicking the add to favourites button under each merchant. Your favourites list can  be viewed by  others and yourself when you click on your user name or click the Favourite merchant link to the right.

How does the rating and commenting work?

While signed in you can rate and comment on shops, to share your personal experiences and make recommendations. The rating is out of 5 stars and requires a comment to justify the rating, Even if you just say "This is a great Shop!" or "Unbelievable prices". The stars are averaged out to give the shop it's final rating.

What else can I do on Australian Shopping Online?

Forum - You can participate in the forum by submitting online shopping tips, stories or advice. You can make suggestions for Cool Sites, Or you can make suggestions on ways we can improve the site.

Surveys - These survey sites pay you anywhere up to a couple dollars to do consumer surveys, they get emailed to you as they become available, and are mostly quick and easy.
